Senior Portrait Session – Greg and Erica

What started out to be a hot and windy day ended to be an overcast, slightly windy afternoon. Not the ideal situation for a beach photshoot. Setting this up, I must’ve had a blonde moment because I was thinking of shooting on the west side at Nanakuli not thinking that it was Memorial Weekend and everyone would be camping. Lo and behold, it was crowded (duh?) so driving further up the coast, I stopped by at Maili 7-11 to get something to drink. Across the street at Maili point, also crowded. Finally met up with the clients, we decided to go down to tracks at the parking lot across Kahe Power Plant. Of all these years, I never thought to shoot there. Now, this is probably a place that I’ll shoot often. Sand, trees, pavillion, fence, bridge, rocks, benches and best of all, train tracks. Anyways, here’s a sample and the link to the gallery. Thanks to Greg and Erica for a great afternoon of taking pictures although it’s one of those rare occassions that there was not a beautiful sunset in Hawaii due to the clouds on the horizon.
